Goals worth striving for

Looking at the cards that have been dealt to me so far, Im going to set up goals that I can try to accomplish. And that goes for outside the gym, too. I want to do many things from now to the end of the school year.

1) When swimming, keep the legs moving/kicking at all costs. I saw today, accomplishing my first week of preseason, that just trying to kick no matter how tired you are, or how much you want to stop, truly helps. I grabbed that kickboard and did 150meters. That was a distance worth patting myself on the back for.

2) When eating, think of how closer I will be to going to a new (good) reformation of my body, with certain types of foods in my mouth.

3) Stay focused; I am in school to learn and try sports. Highschool friends usually mean nothing later on in life (thats what I have heard by many people.) Keep the joking comments to the minimum and try to excell in school. And I didnt say JUST excell. Trying is everything.

4) Learning from mistakes. In general this is a good goal for ANYONE to strive for, whether you are a teacher, a student, a trainer, a CEO, etc. Learn from your mistakes. You cant go wrong, and I’m trying to do this for my personal issues, beyond fitness and swimming. Something more close to emotional than physical.

Anyways, have a good night. Im goin to be busy over the past two weeks from finals and papers, so if I have anything intelligent to say, then it will be said.

Sorry for the delayed posts

I  have been stuck in the house because I have been sick over the weekend with a small fever, and I really didnt feel like doing any  homework or updating this site.

For whoever is reading my site. I would highly reccomend going to these two websites,

http://allaroundstrength.com/

http://gubernatrix.co.uk/

These guys know their stuff very well, unlike me. I only know what I  am good  at, which is  the very basics of body building.

Swimming practice on Friday was easy. I still need to remind myself every day  to train better, eat  healthier, and practice harder so I can see  better results. But give me credit, Im not the kind of guy who would wear speedos to go on a swim  team… (and I am not that strong of a swimmer myself) so Im stepping out of the box, a bit.  And I am so far enjoying it! I cant wait for my first meet.

Anyways for those who really want two tips for nuitrition, get those 100 calorie snacks, and  some crystal light water. Those two things fill me up really fast.

Have a good sunday guys. Back to my term paper.

Bienvenida!

Thats welcome, in spanish. This is  my first time blogging, so pardon my noob-ness. I created this to show what activities I have done today, and what I have “looked to stars” before, for inspiration.

I would have to say that there has been two  influences in my life for fitness. Camp  La Jolla has truly helped me lose weight, meet new people, and definitly keep in shape. Pardon my spelling mistakes on this, I was indirectly inspired to make one of these after I saw my councler’s blog. I thought this would build my self-control  and self-motivation, the two things I have been striving for since I was obese.

I am now 15 years old, a sophmore in highschool, trying to learn techniques and ideas from swimming and  weightlifting, striving to be the best I can be at those sports.  Although I am not a true swimmer (more like a beginner), and not a true bodybuilder (but I have  experience in weightlifting, and for a teenager, I know my stuff.)

Since I have swimming practice very soon, I will try and remember to keep in touch after my practice to show you guys on what I have done.  But yesterday I really needed to keep up using the kickboards, and work on the catch-up drill, so I can get better at my free style strokes. Then my coachtold me to do  an ascending set of free style, work from 30% of your speed to 70%, and do 5 100 yards (so basically 30-100, 40-100, 50-100,  etc) and then warm down for 100 yards.

Today, I hope it is better. Thats all for now guys. Feel free to drop down comments and such, ask questions and I can try to answer them!
